Regenerating Paradise invites the community to the fruition of the Cypress Native Plant Restoration and Fire Mitigation Project, which will include putting down amendments to build soil and scattering native wildflower seed at the project site. The soil amendment and seed-sowing party will take place on Saturday, March 7 from 9 am to noon at 1567 Adams Rd in Paradise, just off Clark Rd. Attendees unsure of where the site is can meet in the parking lot at the top of Cypress and will proceed to the site at the end of Adams Rd to mingle with their neighbors, enjoy coffee and pastries, then get growing! The project began last year with a series of interactive workshops and hands-on workdays designed to empower residents with the knowledge and skills to create fire-resilient and ecologically thriving landscapes. Participants will continue to get hands-on experience they can use when caring for their own property while beautifying the future Cypress Family Apartments, an affordable and senior housing development by CHIP (Community Housing Improvement Program).
